The hotel is studded with art depicting Hokkaido's traditions and culture that will make you want to stop to appreciate it for a while, and the modern interior features brickwork, gas lamps, and fabrics designed with traditional ethnic patterns to create a quintessential Hokkaido atmosphere. Experience and enjoy the originality of Hokkaido and Sapporo in our interiors themed on the traditional local craft of woodwork bears, with our 'Woody Bear' made out of wood from dismantled furniture, beautiful neon light sculptures that seem to float in the air, and paintings based on Hokkaido's natural landscapes.

Tsubasa Fujikura
Born in Kitahiroshima City, Hokkaido, Tsubasa Fujikura is an artist now living in Sapporo. In recent years, his work "NEON-SIGN", which focuses on the craftwork of anonymous craftsmen, has been well received.
WOODY BEAR［elevator hall］
This work was created with the theme of a wooden crafted bear, a traditional craft of Hokkaido. It was made by disassembling common pieces of wooden furniture, like tables and chairs, and layering them in detail, abandoning the original funtion of the objects and creating a new one. Although the objects are familiar, they are far from their original existence. This work presents us with new values tat revolutionize tradition.

An artist collective by Jun Sugiyama and Kenichi Miyazawa. With a unique world view created by combining waste materials and electric appliances, they are engaged in a wide range of furniture, products, and space production. The works, which are a fusion of nostalgic analog feelings and bright colours, are attracting attention from home and abroad.

There is a theory that the place name "Susukino" originated from the word for Japanese pampas grass field (Susukonohara), and this work expresses this in a graceful and modern style. Joji Nakabayashi, who exhibits works at many hotels in Japan and overseas, was the artist on this work.

Joji Nakabayashi
Educated at the Graduate School of Art and Design, Musashino Art University, Joji Nakabayashi makes sculptures and reliefs by taking advantage of the characteristics of metal materials.
The corridor is like an art gallery
The guest room hallways, which look like an art gallery, are decorated with frame signs with the motif of Hokkaido's flora and fauna. Please enjoy each different design.
